Finding Aged Care is a private aged care placement service based in Sydney that assists people across New South Wales.
Finding Aged Care is an independent organisation providing bias-free information and advice. It is not affiliated with any of the nursing homes or hostels and does not receive a fee or other reward from them for your placement.
Denise Touchard owns and operates Finding Aged Care. She is a university qualified social worker with extensive experience in the aged care sector. Denise has managed a community aged care service and has undertaken hundreds of visits to nursing homes and hostels across New South Wales to carry out inspections and undertake quality audits.
Denise developed an excellent understanding of the legislation governing aged care while working for the Government department that subsidises and regulates aged care homes. This means she can explain all aspects of the aged care system to you, including:
- entry criteria;
- standards for accommodation, care and services;
- security of tenure;
- fees and charges;
- your rights and avenues for complaint.
Denise has also had the personal experience of having to place a loved one in a nursing home and is able to offer understanding, support and a caring approach.
